Safest city in Latin America?
I’m in Panama right now with my wife. She’s attending an Orthodontists seminar and I decided to tag along to sped Valentines day with her. Since I live in El Salvador and after being robbed last year in Colombia it was a relief for me to know that Panama was the safest cities in Latin America …but now it turns out that there are construction workers riots and guess where?
RIGHT NEXT TO MY HOTEL
Since Wednesday my wake up call has been tear gas shots and people yelling from the building across my window. It seems there was an issue with the police and the construction workers a couple of days ago and they’ve been rioting since. Hopefully the situation will calm down and people will be able to go back to their normal lives.
It is a shame to see what people have to do in our countries so people get heard by the government and media and in some cases it only makes thing worse before they get better.
