Why I Love Affiliate Marketing - Part 2
By Jimmy D. Brown of “Affiliatenaire”

Pop quiz time.  What does “HTML” stand for?  Don’t know
that one?  How about this - what does “FTP” stand for? OK,
one more chance.  Do you know how to work with either?

That brings me to the second reason why I love affiliate
marketing…

** You don’t need to build a website **

What scares people more than creating a product is building
a website!

* What in the world is HTML?  Or FTP?
* How much does the software cost?  And hosting?
* How do I upload files?
* Why isn’t it formatted correctly?
* Why don’t my graphics look like the ones the pros have?

If you are a complete beginner, it can be very difficult
(even using templates) to get an attractive website in place.
And hiring a professional to do it fo ryou is out of the
budget for most people.

But, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need to build a
website.  You simply send visitors to someone else’s
professionally designed site through your affiliate link.

SIDEBAR:  Just in case you’re interested, HTML stands
for “hypertext markup language” and is the coding
used to build webpages.  FTP stands for “file transfer
protocol” and is the process used for moving files
from your computer to a website, or vice versa.

Really, in a manner of looking at it, you get to take
advantage of the time and money invested by someone else
to develop the site.  Think about it:  when you promote an
affiliate link, it reflects firstly upon YOU.  You are the
one who is advertising the link, recommending the product,
sending people who have interacted with YOU to the website.

The professional site of someone else really represents
you as the promoter, in the eye of those who have clicked
through your link.

You get the benefits without the bother.

That’s why I love affiliate marketing.

You don’t need to build a website.

Well it seems I am because I just checked my aweber stats and I was above the .1 % complaint rate they suggest you should stay under.

I understand the message wasn’t selling anything, nor did it have any instant money making tip. It was only my thoughts on Internet Marketing and how the “It’s easy” idea isn’t totally true.

But anyways those warnings are there for a good reason so I invited my non interested subscribers to unsubscribe.

We’ll see what happens.

Probably I’ve been too quiet lately so an email from me can be strange for some people, but that’s going to change. I’m flying solo this year so I plan on being in contact with my list more often.

A nice idea I think I might swipe from Stephanie Mulac is how they add the “subscription date” to the intro of all her emails

Something really easy to do with Aweber and also it reminds ppl when they subscribed.

There are a lot of email best practices we all should follow and really I don’t know them all. The guy to ask about that is Big Jason Henderson, he’s the email expert out there so if you want more information about email deliverability and etiquete you should check out his blog BigMarketingOnline.com

Please leave your comments good or bad and I’ll be glad to get back to you with any question you have that I can answer. Remember: if I don’t know the answer… I’ll make something up specially for you.

Cheers!

Richard

Sincerely it’s been quite a bit of work to get  CornerStayAds from idea to reality.

We did work on it on and off some times with Harris, but when we finally gave it all we had it wasn’t as fast as I thought it would be. There is always a tone of small little details to check and bugs to clean out before releasing a product to the public.

The  CornerStayAds can be positioned in any corner on your site and it can be any image (we’ve given you 54 samples) any size but we’d recommend keeping it under 150×150 pixels. when you pass your mouse over the corner it opens a small hover window which can contain anything; from video to podcasts, to banners to squeeze formes. Anything you want can be on the hover ad; it’s kind of like a real mini mini website.

The good thing about the CornerStayAds is that you don’t have to code anything special, everything is calculated and resized automatically for you. You just have to fill out a form, past some code, upload and you’re ready.

If you find any bugs, let me know we’ll see what can be done.

To download a high quality version of a YouTube video in MP4 (as to upload to your ipod or use as a pod cast in iTunes) you can simply drag the “Get YouTube Video” link below to your Firefox tool bar or right click it and add to bookmarks in Internet Explorer.

Then while on YouTube, when you are watching a video simply click on that bookmark and under the video description you’ll see a link which you can right click and save a high quality version of the video in MP4.
IMPORTANT NOTE: when saving name the file extension .mp4 if not it will be incorrectly downloaded as an html file.
